Ayurveda literally means “The Science of Life” for the promotion of positive health and prevention and cure of diseases. It is in practice in India and its neighboring countries since time immemorial.

“Health”, according to Ayurveda, is not merely the freedom from diseases. A person is to be treated as healthy only when his mind, sense, organs and the soul are in the state of perfect of equilibrium to endow happiness. In addition, the body should be free from diseases.

Ayurveda lays a lot of emphasis on the prevention and cure of diseases. Therefore several therapeutic measures both for patients and healthy persons are prescribed in this system of medicine.

Utricaria

(छपाकी)

Utricaria is the medical term of Hives. Hives are raised or puffy area of the skin that itch intensely.

Itching

(खारिश)

Itching is a symptom of many health condition some common causes are :
Allergic reactions to food, insect bite, pollen & medicines. Skin Conditions such as Eczema, Psoriasis and Dry Skin.

Cough & Cold

(पुराना नजला )

You should see a doctor if your cough brings up yellowish – green phlegm or blood. A cough that doesn’t produce mucus is called a dry or non-productive cough. Acute cough is the least serious types of coughs. It only lasts for three weeks or less and will most likely clear up on its own

Cough associated with fever, shaking chills, shortness of breath, low energy, and extreme tiredness

Back pain

(कमर दर्द)

Back pain can range from local pain in a specific spot to generalized pain spreading all over the back. Sometimes the pain radiates away from the back to other areas of your body, such as the buttocks, legs or abdomen. The intensity of back pain varies for each person.

Exercise has been found to be one of the most effective ways to relieve back pain quickly.

  • Strengthen your core muscles. Your lower back is under the stress of supporting your entire upper body.

  • Stretch daily

  • Avoid sitting with poor posture

  • Take walks

  • Lift correctly

  • Reduce pressure on your back when you sleep

  • Watch your weight

  • Quit smoking

Gas or Bloating

(गैस या सूजन)

It may occur if your digestive system can’t break down and absorb certain foods, such as the sugar in dairy products or proteins such as gluten in wheat & other grains.

How to get rid of Gas Problem?

  • Try smaller portions of food. Many of the foods that can cause gas are part of a healthy diet.

  • Eat slowly, chew your food thoroughly & don’t gulp

  • Don’t smoke

  • Exercise

  • Life style modifications

  • Avoid junk food

  • Avoid sleeping or going to bed immediately.

  • Have short frequent meals

Piles

(बवासीर)

Hemorrhoids can develop from increased pressure in the lower rectum due to:

  • Straining during bowel movements.

  • Sitting for long periods of time, especially on the toilet

  • Having chronic diarrhea or constipation.

  • Being obese

  • Being pregnant

  • Having anal intercourse

  • Eating a low-fiber diet

  • Regularly lifting heavy items.

How can you stop Piles?

  • Drink lots of fluid and eat plenty of fiber to keep your poop soft.

  • Wipe your bottom with damp toilet paper.

  • Take a warm bath to ease itching & pain.

  • Use an ice pack wrapped in a towel to ease discomfort.

  • Gently push a pile back inside.

  • Keep you bottom clean & dry.

  • Exercise regularly.

Joint Pain

(जोड़ों का दर्द)

Joint pain is often a result of the damage that occured through normal wear and tear. It can also be a sign of an infection or potentially debilitating Rheumatoid Arthritis.

  • Sinusitis with postnasal drip

  • Gastro esophageal reflux disease

Jaundice

(पीलिया)

Adults and Children with jaundice may notice a yellowish tinge to their skin, mucous membranes and the whites of the eyes. It can happen with various health conditions and usually indicates a problem with the liver or bile ducts. When the liver is not working properly, it can cause a waste material called bilirubin to build up in the blood.

Ayurveda treatment has been successfully used to treat Jaundice. Wheatgrass juice is a marvelous remedy for Jaundice as it flushes out excess bilirubin and toxins from the body and also buttermilk which is a rich source of Calcium and Iron required to recover from Jaundice.

Diabetes

With diabetes, your body either doesn’t make enough insulin or can’t use it as well as it should. Diabetes is a chronic (long-lasting) health condition that effects how your body turns food into energy.

In Ayurveda, diabetes is described as “Prameha”, an imbalance in the body’s energies (doshas) caused by unhealthy lifestyle choices, stress and poor diet. It is categorized into:

Type 1 : Due to immune related factors.
Type 2 : Caused by insulin resistance.

Diet, excess body weight, some medical conditions, and certain supplements and medications are among the many causes of kidney stones.

Drinking plenty of fluids and avoiding high salt diet can prevent a recurrent stone formation.
